Update on COVID-19 restrictions
On February 8, the Government of Alberta announced its plan to lift public health measures. This plan began with removing the Restrictions Exemption Program (REP) on February 9. The plan also includes a tentative end to indoor masking. The departments of Advanced Education and Health also provided more guidance to post-secondary institutions.
Because of the measures we introduced in the fall, we know there is an extremely high rate of vaccination among our community. This high level of vaccination protects us all.
It is thanks to the efforts of our community that we have seen very few cases and no outbreaks on our campuses. Following guidance from Alberta Health Services, the Chief Medical Officer of Alberta, and the Government of Alberta, the College has made decisions about vaccination requirements, masking, and physical distancing.
