Mask regulations and FAQs

Last updated: February 28, 2022

We continue to follow the Government of Alberta and City of Calgary’s timelines on mask use. Effective March 1, 2022:

  • The Government of Alberta and the City of Calgary will lift their respective indoor mask mandate.
  • Masking will still be required in high-risk settings, including on public transit, at Alberta Health Services-operated and contracted facilities, and all continuing care settings.
  • Masks will no longer be required on our campuses.

As ours is a highly vaccinated community, this change allows our community to make a choice as to how they wish to proceed in coming semesters. Anyone who chooses to continue wearing a mask after the policy is lifted will be supported in this choice.

We appreciate how difficult the pandemic is on each of you and will keep working to support your needs. Stay safe, keep informed, and be kind to each other as we navigate this complex situation together.
