New Student Orientation is a hybrid event. Emails will be sent to your MyBVC emails.

Welcome to Bow Valley College. New Student Orientation is important for all students joining the Bow Valley College community for the first time. Attend New Student Orientation week activities taking place on August 30, 31 & Sept 1, 2023 
  • Get the right tools to succeed in your academic courses and be comfortable with BVC before classes begin
  • Meet fellow students, & your instructors and program chairs
  • Learn about the many free resources and student services available at BVC
There are two ways to attend  New Student Orientation (NSO):

1. Join live in person at BVC (limited to 400 attendees) 
2. Attend Orientation online

   New students will receive an invitation email to register for NSO on July 27th, 2023

International students

Some programs may have extra activities during the first week of classes, but this orientation is required for all new Bow Valley College students. For international students, there is an International Student Welcome session on New Student Orientation Day 1 (Aug 30th)

  • Email scanned copies of your study permit and co-op work permit (if applicable) to records@bowvalleycollege.ca  before New Student Orientation Day1 (August 30th)
