Step 1.

Make sure the program you’re interested in is currently accepting applications and check the admission requirements.

Explore the full list of programs and take the first step towards a brighter future!

Step 2.

To begin your application, have this information ready:

  • Your Alberta Student Number (ASN).  If you have applied to or attended a school or post-secondary institution in Alberta, you will already have an ASN.  To find your ASN, you can use the ASN Lookup service. If you do not have an ASN, the ApplyAlberta system will assign one to you.
  • High school courses and marks (for currently enrolled Canadian students only). Not from Alberta? Check here for high school course equivalencies by province.

If you attended high school in Canada within the past 7 years, please bring a copy of your transcripts to the Office of the Registrar or email a scanned copy to upgrading@bowvalleycollege.ca

If you haven't completed any Grade 10 to 12 courses in Canada in the last 7 years you will need to take the Bow Valley College Placement Test.

Please note: A separate fee is required for each application if you apply for multiple start dates (intakes) or programs.

Your application won't be processed until you pay through one of the following methods:

  • Pay using online, mobile, or telephone banking if you have a Bow Valley College student number.
  • Mail a cheque or money order payable to "Bow Valley College" (no cash through mail) to:

Step 4.

Make sure you provide us with complete, accurate transcripts of your education history.

You must submit transcripts from all post-secondary institutions you’ve attended. These transcripts become the property of Bow Valley College and will not be returned.
Email a copy to registrar@bowvalleycollege.ca.

If you attended a public high school or a post-secondary institution within Alberta, you can create an education account on myPass.  (this will allow you to see your Alberta Education transcripts). You may also bring a copy to the Office of the Registrar or email a scanned copy to upgrading@bowvalleycollege.ca.

You must provide proof of enrolment if you are currently attending a post-secondary institution.

Your application will be delayed if you do not provide the required transcripts or proof of enrolment.

Step 5.

You’re done! Once you’ve submitted your application, paid the application fee, and submitted your transcripts, check your application status regularly for any updates or additional steps that may be required.
