Annette Matte

Instructor, Arts and Sciences

Annette Matte earned her B.Sc. in Psychology and then her B.Ed. in Secondary Social Studies with Distinction from the University of Calgary. After seven years of secondary teaching in Calgary, she moved on to graduate studies in Counselling Psychology at Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington, completing her MA in Counselling. This included practical placement in Calgary, counselling high school students. This was followed by nine years of teaching and writing original course content with Alberta Distance Learning Centre and the Vista Virtual School. Annette has been teaching at Bow Valley College since 2014. She enjoys face-to-face, online, and blended teaching, as well as course development.

Bart Chudleigh

Dean

Bart has extensive ties to the Chiu School of Business, where he taught marketing and management for nearly a decade after joining Bow Valley College in 2010.  Bart has held several leadership roles during his time with the college including program chair, associate director of research, and most recently associate director of industry solutions where he was responsible for building an extensive industry network with the business community here in Calgary.  He has also served as the president of the Bow Valley College Faculty Association.  These experiences are complemented by a career in industry focused on customer development, marketing, and sales.

Bart is well known for his collaborative and relational leadership style, commitment to the learner experience, and business acumen.

Tanya McDonald

Dean, Applied Research & Centre for Entertainment Arts

Tanya McDonald (M. Sc. Civil Engineering, University of Calgary; B.Sc. Science, Athabasca University) serves as the Dean, Applied Research and Centre for Entertainment Arts. Throughout her 25 year career in post-secondary, Tanya has developed a unique blend of applied research expertise along with leadership, policy development, strategic planning, project management and budget management experience. She is experienced with leading large initiatives, including $20M+ in research initiatives and a $40 million capital campaign. She has authored or co-authored six scientific publications. Tanya is passionate about teamwork, innovation and education.
