Course Description
Python is a clear and powerful programming language that is easy to learn and used for developing anything from applications to websites. Take this course to learn how to implement Python language basics, create Python code and data structures, and create and manipulate files in Python.
This course includes one attempt at the Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA) exam: Introduction to Programming Using Python 3.
Topics include:
• Python language basics
• Functions, operators, conditional statements, and loops
• Python data structures
• Files in Python
• Strings, lists, and range sequences
• Data types, variables, and input
• Sustainable code development
This course follows an assessment-first approach. You will be assessed at the beginning of the course and then receive an individualized learning plan. This plan will help you pace yourself in the course activities, gauge your progress, and prepare for demonstration of the competencies.
Required Learning Resources:
Learning resources will be available in the course modules in Desire2Learn (D2L) on the course start date. Komodo software will need to be installed for this course at no additional cost.
