The Youth Skills Connection program provides aid for youth to overcome barriers to employment and develop a broad range of new skills to succeed in the job market. Participants attend a 6 or 8-week paid workshop which consists of career planning, job search and employability skills topics. The workshop is a combination of in-person and on-line delivery. After the workshop, participants are placed in an 8 to 12-week paid work experience in an entry-level position in the direction of their career aspirations. The work experiences are intended to lead to full-time employment.

Admission Requirements
- Youth between the ages of 18 and 30 at the time of intake
- Canadian citizens, permanent residents, and youth who have been granted refugee status in Canada
- Youth legally entitled to work according to relevant provincial/territorial legislation and regulations
- Youth not currently in school or working full- time
