In response to the evolving needs and demands of the Canadian workplace, the Government of Canada’s Skills for Success Program released ‘Skills for Success’, an updated and modernized skills model. The model consists of nine foundational competencies: Reading, Writing, Numeracy, Communication, Problem Solving, Collaboration, Adaptability, Digital, and Creativity & Innovation.
With the support of the Skills for Success Program, Bow Valley College completed a national project aimed at expanding information and resources related to digital skills. A Digital Skills Toolkit and project report are available to support stakeholders in integrating digital skills into assessment, training and workforce development initiatives.
