PCI DSS Compliance Puzzle

Bow Valley College provides the easiest, most effective, and safest payment options. These options ensure that your data is immediately encrypted and transferred over secure channels for payment authorization and processing, and confirms the College’s commitment to PCI DSS compliance:

  • online banking
  • payment through websites such as mybvc, ApplyAlberta, IELTs
  • in person by credit card or debit card at the Office of the Registrar

Please note that effective November 1, 2018 the College will no longer accept credit card payment by phone.  By eliminating this option, you no longer run the risk of someone overhearing your credit card information or it being accidentally misplaced or lost.

To learn more about the College’s payment options, contact the Office of the Registrar.

Information Technology Services, Finance, and other key departments involved in processing payments continue to work together to ensure PCI DSS compliance.

Should you have any questions about credit card payments or other payment methods, please contact your PCI Champion or the Finance PCI Coordinator. Refer to the PCI Compliance page under Finance on myCampus for the names of those fulfilling these roles.

Please note that if you are you involved with credit card payments, PCI Payment Handler training is required. Contact your PCI Champion for this training.

Effective November 1, 2018 the College will no longer accept credit card payment by phone.  All PDF forms, webpages, and email templates should have this payment option removed.
