Course Description

This course combines theory and practical applications to help instructors deepen their understanding of task-based English teaching.

In this course you will:

Examine principles of task-based language teaching

  • Describe approaches to integrating language knowledge into task-based teaching
  • Explore effective approaches to assessing task-based learning
  • Identify challenges to the implementation of task-based teaching

This course is 100% online and has a peer-learning focus. Successful course completion will be based on active participation in discussion board forums, completion of activities and the submission of a final assignment. The time commitment is typically 12 hours.
