Course Description

This course will introduce you to highly practical strategies and approaches for differentiating and scaffolding reading and writing tasks for learners at different language proficiency levels.

In this course you will:

  • Explore effective instructional practices for teaching English language learners in a multilevel setting
  • Identify  the scaffolding strategies needed to support reading and writing tasks in a multilevel context
  • Describe how to differentiate a reading or writing task in a multilevel context

This course is 100% online and has a peer-learning focus. Successful course completion will be based on active participation in discussion board forums, completion of activities and the submission of a final assignment. The time commitment is typically 12 hours.
