Program Description

In these classes, you will improve your listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills. You'll do this by exploring topics of local interest. Courses are 10 weeks long and offered at the following levels:

  • LINC levels 1 - 6 (Banff campus)
  • LINC levels 4 - 6 (High River campus)

Admission Requirements

  • Be a minimum of 18 years old
  • Have Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) of levels 1 to 6
  • Be a permanent resident or convention refugee  

To get into this program, you need your Canadian Language Benchmarks Placement Test results or your LINC certificate from a LINC program.

LINC applicants must first take a Canadian Language Benchmarks test at the Immigrant and Vocational Assessment Referral Centre (ILVARC). The telephone number for ILVARC is 403-262-2656.
