Course Description

This course will introduce you to highly practical strategies and approaches for differentiating and scaffolding reading and writing tasks for learners at different language proficiency levels. You will explore effective strategies and approaches for teaching reading and writing in a multilevel setting and consider how to incorporate what you learn in a real-world classroom.

This course is part of the Post-TESL Certificate Program. The Post-TESL Certificate Program provides focused and relevant professional development for ELL practitioners. It is designed to help you keep your skills and knowledge up to date. You need to successfully complete four of the six courses offered in this program to earn the certificate.

This course is 100% online and has a peer-learning focus. Course completion is based on active participation in discussion board forums, completion of activities and the submission of a final assignment. The time commitment is typically 12 hours.
