Certificate Information

This certificate consists of five key accounting courses that provide you with the skills to handle the accounting requirements of a business or office. Learn the basics of applied accounting, budget and financial reporting, and specialized accounting software. This certificate is ideal for careers as a junior accountant, payroll clerk, accounting technician, accounting clerk, bookkeeper, and junior financial analyst.


Keyboarding skills with a minimum of 15 words per minute are recommended .

Microsoft Excel - Introduction

Learn the basics of Microsoft Excel.


Financial Accounting - Introduction

Learn the fundamentals of accounting concepts and examine overall accounting operations including planning, controlling, budget preparation, and monitoring.


Financial Accounting - Intermediate

Learn to account for merchandise activities, payroll, and special journals including cash receipt, cash payment, sales, and purchase journals.


Budget and Financial Reports

Work towards your Canadian Payroll Association certification, or just become more proficient in managerial accounting reports.
