We take pride in the achievements of our students and look forward to celebrating their successes at the annual Premier's Scholarship Luncheon. Over its history, this program has helped Bow Valley College students pursue their education and become valued contributors to our community and our economy.

This year, we celebrate the Premier’s Scholarship Luncheon on International Women’s Day, honoured around the world. By doing so, we pay special tribute to our female students who account for approximately 78 per cent of our enrolment.

Women like 2017 Premier’s Scholarship recipient Patience Muchena, a resilient single mom who started at Bow Valley College for academic upgrading. Having achieved success with that, she recently graduated from our Practical Nurse Diploma program, pursuing her dream of becoming a pulmonary nurse.

“I believe we are the authors of our own stories. We should not be deterred from our dreams, no matter what life throws at us. I face my challenges with determination and reshape them towards achieving my goal,” Patience says. “Receiving this scholarship gave me confidence that I am on the right path and motivated me to work even harder.”

On this day that acknowledges women around the world, we celebrate the successes of the women who have chosen Bow Valley College to improve their lives through education. The support of our donors and sponsors is invaluable in providing them with the opportunities they need to make their mark on the world by supporting their families, contributing to our community, and building meaningful and prosperous lives.
