Fund Dev 24th Annual Premier's Scholarship Luncheon Gold Sponsors open doors for learners
Your amazing support and commitment were instrumental in making this another resoundingly successful event.
AltaLink opens doors for learners
This year again, AltaLink, Alberta’s largest regulated electricity transmission company, sponsored the event as a Gold sponsor. The company is also the donor for the AltaLink Centennial Scholarship, which recognizes a full-time student from rural Alberta, who has achieved academically and demonstrates leadership qualities.
“AltaLink is pleased to once again to play a role in helping learners at Bow Valley College succeed in school and in their life,” says Scott Thon, President of AltaLink, past Bow Valley College Board of Governors Chair, and Honourary Co-Chair of the Premier’s Scholarship Luncheon. “People talk about small acts of greatness – the idea that each of us can make a big difference in someone else’s life. We’ve seen today how opening a door, and offering some support, can make an enormous difference not just for one person – but so often for their family, their communities, their future employers and our economy.”
Alberta Blue Cross is a strong advocate for learners
This is Alberta Blue Cross’s first year as a Gold Sponsor for the Premier’s Scholarship Luncheon, after several years as a Silver Sponsor. As Alberta’s largest benefits carrier, they have been strong advocates and supporters of post-secondary education across Alberta. Since they started their scholarship program, more than 20 years ago, they’ve provided more than 65 awards to post-secondary institutions in the province—including Bow Valley College.
“We value the role Bow Valley College plays in the future of Alberta and we’re pleased to be a long-term sponsor of the annual Premier’s Scholarship Luncheon. We’re inspired by all the hard work Bow Valley College does every day—so we’re glad to support the success of their students,” says Ray Pisani, president and CEO, Alberta Blue Cross. “We’re pleased to support Bow Valley College as they continue to be inclusive and deliver innovative and practical programs to their students.”
Thank you to our Gold Sponsors, AltaLink and Alberta Blue Cross, for your support for this year’s Premier’s Scholarship Luncheon and Bow Valley College learners.
