Certificate Information

This certificate consists of five key accounting courses that provide you with the skills to handle the accounting requirements of a business or office. Learn the basics of applied accounting, budget and financial reporting, and specialized accounting software. This certificate is ideal for careers as a junior accountant, payroll clerk, accounting technician, accounting clerk, bookkeeper, and junior financial analyst.

Windmill Microlending can provide affordable loans of up to $15,000 to immigrants and refugees in Canada to pay for the licensing or training you need to get back to your field of work. This is an option for both full-time and part-time students. Windmill is a non-profit charity, since 2005. Please visit windmillmicrolending.org/our-loans for more information.

Financial Accounting - Introduction

Learn the fundamentals of accounting concepts and examine overall accounting operations including planning, controlling, budget preparation, and monitoring.

A course delivery mode where learning activity takes place at times and locations of the learners own choosing through the use of online communications technologies. Learners are NOT required to participate in any scheduled learning activities, but scheduled exams may be required. A course delivery mode where learning activity is scheduled and takes place in a classroom or similar setting at a college facility. May include lecture, laboratory, and seminar components. i

Any-time Online - A course delivery mode where learning activity takes place at times and locations of the learners own choosing through the use of online communications technologies. Learners are NOT required to participate in any scheduled learning activities, but scheduled exams may be required.

Learn to account for merchandise activities, payroll, and special journals including cash receipt, cash payment, sales, and purchase journals.

Learners are NOT required to participate in any scheduled learning activities, but scheduled exams may be required. A course delivery mode where learning activity takes place through scheduled interaction through the use of online communications technologies at locations of the learners own choosing. Learners ARE required to participate in online learning activities at scheduled times, and scheduled exams may be required. i
