Explore employment opportunities at the Disability Support Professionals Career Showcase

Bow Valley College is hosting more than 20 companies and organizations from the disability field.

Students looking to kick-start their career in the Disability Support Professionals industry can connect with various employers at Bow Valley College’s Disability Professionals Career Showcase on October 30, 2023. The Showcase, which will host more than 20 companies and employers in the early intervention, education, and adult services fields, will be an opportunity for students at any stage of their program to explore employment opportunities that align with their studies.

According to Donna Jones, program chair of Disability Studies, some students might find a direct path to a job from the connections they make at the career showcase.

“Every agency that is coming is hiring or has bridges to employment,” Jones says. “There is no shortage of jobs in the Calgary area and, as an access college, we have excellent relationships with our stakeholders to create these opportunities for our students. Bow Valley College students are in high demand and sought after by employers.” The Showcase is an opportunity for students to ask questions, pick up business cards, and network with potential employers the College has built relationships with.
