Bow Valley College announces appointment of two new Executives
President and CEO, Laura Jo Gunter is pleased to announce the appointment of two new Executives at Bow Valley College.
Vaughn Ravenscroft has been appointed to the Vice President, Strategy and Chief Information Officer portfolio and Donna Schendel was promoted to the role of Associate Vice President, Human Resources.
Vaughn is a senior leader with a broad professional background in both the private and public sectors, with emphasis on the post-secondary sector. He has deep expertise in information technology in the post-secondary sector, having served as Director, Information Technology at the Vancouver Film School, Chief Information Officer at the University of Calgary, and of course as Bow Valley College's Director of Information Technology since January, 2016.
More recently, he served as Executive Vice President Information Technology at Walton Global Investments and as Interim Vice President Corporate Services and Chief Information Officer, for the College.
Donna has been the Director of Human Resources at Bow Valley College since January, 2013. She brings over 25 years of progressively responsible leadership experience in public sector organizations in both Alberta and Saskatchewan. Before coming to the College, she held the role of Vice President Human Resources for Calgary Laboratory Services, a wholly owned subsidiary of Alberta Health Services.
Her work in both health care and education allowed her to enhance the delivery of human resources' services from being a transactional delivery model to a strategic one, creating partnerships with the client groups and improving processes and knowledge transfer within the College.
Since May, 2017, Donna has been serving on the Executive Team on an interim basis. The Associate Vice President, Human Resources portfolio includes Human Resources, Labour Relations, Process Improvement, and Change Management.
