Bow Valley College Career Connection hosts Career Boost 2017

Day-long event designed to teach Calgarians what skills they need to land good jobs.

CALGARY - Bow Valley College Career Connection will be assisting Calgarians in search of their next career opportunities at a day-long event called Career Boost 2017. The event will be held on north campus, May 4, 2017.

Participants will further their chances of landing a good job by exploring how their transferrable skills can serve them in Calgary's changing economy.

The interactive and informative event is designed to teach hundreds of expected job seekers about business trends, various corporate cultures and the transferable skills necessary to succeed in different sectors.

"We want to empower these job seekers with the knowledge they need to better market their broad range of skills to different sectors, and improve their employability prospects in the process," said Tamara McCormick, business leader at Career Connection.

This day-long event is a chance for Calgarians to seek information and ask questions by visiting the exhibitors' fair and attending panel discussions centred on different segments of our local economy. The event is made possible through funding by The Government of Alberta, Ministry of Community and Social Services.
