Be Alert and Stay Awake with the new Colossus coffee size at Bow Valley College
CALGARY - Bow Valley College is making a concerted effort to address students, instructors and staff's need for more caffeine. In addition to the standard coffee cup sizes currently being sold in the Marketplace, the College has created the Colossus size of java.
Made of 100 per cent recyclable material and boasting a healthy capacity of 32 ounces, the new size is designed to help keep learners awake during those lectures that have the lullaby effect. Staff members who want to make sure they stay alert during their two-hour department meetings will now have the chance for a caffeine spike with the new Colossus size.
After recognizing many learners and staff members have been fighting the urge to doze off in one of the many locations set aside for meditation or relaxation, College leadership decided to address the need for more "energy" on campus.
"I have at least three cups a day to keep me awake," says learner, Drew Peeyayes. "After 12 straight hours of Call of Duty, I need tons of caffeine to keep me awake during class the next day."
"The new Colossus does the trick. Though I do find myself going to the restroom more than I've ever been before."
For those that don't get their energy boost from coffee, there's no need to fret. Tea drinkers will be happy to know they can use the Colossus-sized cups for their beverages. There are even new Gigante-sized tea bags designed specifically for the Colossus.
