Course Description
The investigator’s job is to seek out, develop, and collect information, and deliver it to their client in a suitable format. This information must be useful enough to act as evidence or proof. Not all sources of information can be trusted, and it is the investigator’s role to help uncover the truth or facts of a situation while remaining unbiased. This course will covers the basics of private investigating, including:
- obtaining information legally
- effectively observing and recording information
- surveillance techniques and investigative aids

Available anytime online, you will have up to four months to complete this course.
Recognition
Complete all six courses to earn the Certificate of Achievement and you won't need to write the provincial exam when you apply for a private investigation license in Alberta.
