Course Description

This course prepares you to take the Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA) exam: Database Fundamentals. This course introduces the fundamentals and core concepts of database development and administration, including the creation of database objects, manipulation of data, data storage, database security, backup, and recovery.

Structured Query Language (SQL)
Database objects
Stored procedures and functions
Core relational database management system concepts
Normalization and indexes
Tables and views
Database security
Data manipulation and data definition languages
Database backup and restore

Required Learning Resources:

Learning resources will be available in the course modules in Desire2Learn (D2L) on the course start date. SQL Server Express and SQL Server Management Studio will need to be installed for this course at no additional cost.
