About the Testing Centre

The Testing Centre provides testing services to Bow Valley College learners.

The Testing Centre offers exams to Bow Valley College learners only, on a walk-in basis, with no booking required.

If you are not a Bow Valley College learner, please use the External Testing Centre.

Testing Centre Hours

Monday to Thursday: 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Friday: 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Saturday: 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Sunday: Closed

The  Testing Centre is closed on all statutory holidays and Saturdays of long weekends.

Testing Center FAQs

  1. All personal belongings, with the exception of wallets, must be left in a locker outside the  Testing Centre. Test takers should bring their own locks as the Testing Centre is not responsible for lost or stolen belongings. Please note that locks will be cut off and contents removed at the end of each day.
  2. The use of cell phones and similar electronic devices are not permitted at any time while writing a test.
  3. Loitering or talking in the Testing Centre or the outside area is not permitted. 
  4. Test takers are not permitted to leave the testing area unless it is an emergency.
  5. Cheating is strictly prohibited. If caught, the Testing Centre supervisor will stop the test and the instructor will be informed.
  6. Additional paper used during a test must be thrown in the recycling bin unless the instructor requests otherwise. 
  1. Test takers must present a picture ID card and test room authorization form before writing a test.
  2. Test takers are required to sign the test room log sheet and indicate if the test is paper or computer based.
  3. Test takers must take only what the instructor has permitted into the Testing Centre. Additional materials, such as scrap paper or formula sheets, will be provided as requested by the instructor.
  4. Occasional walk-throughs by the Testing Centre supervisors are conducted to monitor students, tidy the testing area, and check equipment and supplies. 
  1. Paper tests are given to the test taker by the Testing Centre supervisor. Tests are stamped with the time and date before and immediately after completion.
  2. The Testing Centre supervisors cannot answer test-related questions. Test takers should note any questions they have on the test and discuss them directly with their instructor.
  3. All exams are securely filed by the Testing Centre supervisor and picked up by the instructor. 
  1. Test takers must log on to the computer application and locate their test. The Testing Centre supervisor may be required to enter a password before the test can begin.
  2. Test takers should ask for assistance if there are any problems with the computer terminals.
  3. When the test is complete, test takers should click "finish" to submit it for grading.
