Full-Time Course Credits

Your credit load is calculated by adding the credit value of all the courses you are taking in a term.

Minimum full-time vs. part-time course loads

  • Your "credit load" determines whether you're a full-time (FT) or part-time (PT) student. You can calculate your credit load by adding the credits of all the courses you are taking in a term.
  • If you have less than the minimum full-time credit load, we would consider you part-time.
  • Different programs may have different minimum full-time credit loads.
  • Certain fees may be different for full-time and part-time students.
  • International students: Please review the International Student's Checklist for guidelines. For inquiries please contact the International Education Department.
