Caregivers may be required to provide emotional, psychosocial and physical care. This care could be in a private home, facility or in the community and every person requiring care is an individual with individual needs. In this course, learners will explore the roles of caregivers, how they interact with clients and the processes which underpin the application of skills in assisting with meals, mobility, transfers and elimination.
This course fulfills the education prerequisite for admission to the Recreation Therapy Aide (RTA) certificate program.
