Fundamentals of Real Estate is the first course required to become a licensed real estate professional in Alberta. The course provides the foundational knowledge and competencies a successful real estate practitioner must know and prepares learners for the Real Estate Licensing exam. An overview of real estate along with the related Real Estate Act, Rules, Regulations, and applicable contract and real property laws are explored. Learners delve into the concepts of ethics, professionalism, and risk reduction, as well as the multi-facets of consumer relationships. Further topics of mortgage financing and fraud awareness, property valuation, real estate brokerages, and condominiums are discussed providing a solid foundational knowledge for the real estate practitioner.
