Step 1.

Make sure the program you’re interested in is currently accepting applications.

If you are planning on applying for government funding, please check that funding is available for your preferred program and start date.

Please note that programs may fill up long before the application close date so apply soon.  Funding is subject to availability and eligibility requirements.

Step 2.

Before you begin, make sure you have the following:

  • An email address
  • Your Alberta Student Number (ASN).  If you have applied to or attended a school or post-secondary institution in Alberta, you will already have an ASN. To find your ASN, you can use the ASN Lookup service. If you do not have an ASN, the ApplyAlberta system will assign one to you.
  • Recent Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) results (Available at C-LARC).
  • Immigration documents and photo ID as shown below:

Once you click on the “apply now” button below, download the paper application or visit the Welcome Centre to complete your application in person. Keep this page open to have all the steps handy.

Step 3.

Submit your application.

Email your completed application to registrar@bowvalleycollege.ca. Make sure your application has all the documents required as listed in step 2.

If you're applying to the English for Academic Purposes (EAP) program, you'll have to write the EAP placement test at Bow Valley College. We will send you information about testing after you apply.



When you apply or re-apply to an ELL program, you are required to pay the non-refundable application fee of $75 CAD (domestic). If you apply for multiple intakes or programs, you must pay a fee for each application.

Your application won't be processed until you pay your application fee.

Step 4.

You’re almost done! You are responsible for providing Bow Valley College with your Canadian Language Benchmarks (CLB).

Email a copy to registrar@bowvalleycollege.ca.  If you do not have CLB results, you will have to book a test and complete an English placement test at C-LARC.

Your application will be delayed if you do not provide the required documentation.

Step 5.

Great job! Once you've submitted your application and required documents and paid the fee, check your application status regularly for any updates or additional steps that may be required.
