Funding Information for
Indigenous Students

At Bow Valley College, we're committed to empowering all students to succeed. We understand that Indigenous students may face unique financial barriers, and there are funding options available to help. We’re here to support you in overcoming these challenges.

If you're a prospective First Nations, Métis, or Inuit student, you may qualify for special funding resources to support your education at Bow Valley College. We want you to succeed and flourish in your education, and we realize that accessing the right support can sometimes feel challenging.

Application fee waiver for Indigenous applicants

Indigenous applicants are entitled to two free admission applications per academic year: one for a college certificate or diploma program and one for high school upgrading, if necessary for program admission.

Submit the waiver form and choose which application(s) you want the fee waived for. Once applied, the waiver is final and cannot be transferred, reversed, or carried forward.

Note: The fee waiver request must be made within 30 days of submitting your application.

Applicants must meet admission requirements (either through academic transcripts or testing) and are responsible for confirmation deposits, tuition, and other fees.

“Save and Pay Later” option on ApplyAlberta

Applicants can complete their application through ApplyAlberta up to the fee payment screen. At this stage, choose the “Save and Pay Later” option and then submit the application fee waiver form.

This option allows you to apply without paying the application fee upfront or if you're unable to pay by credit card.

Please note: your application will not be processed until the application fee waiver form is submitted and processed.
