If you want financial management services that respect and integrate Indigenous cultural values, beliefs, and practices, meet with an Indigenous Financial Coach. Get advice and tools mindful of Indigenous traditions and community dynamics, and work on your personal financial goals, attend workshops, or participate in the Seasons of Saving Program.
Earn while you learn! You can earn up to $600 in matched savings while learning tips to help you manage your money and save. Improve your money management skills. Save $20, $30, $40, or $50 each month during the semester and we match your savings three times. Spend your savings on tuition, books, materials for classes, or keep them for emergency savings. Applicants must be registered in a Bow Valley College program and be in good standing (no academic probation, no outstanding fees).
Matched Savings Bursary: Earn up to three times the amount you save for your education. This is a 4-month program (one semester) for eligible domestic Bow Valley College students. Participants attend eight money management workshops scheduled throughout the semester and earn 11 hours towards their co-curricular record.
Seasons of Saving: This 4-month (one semester) culturally appropriate program is for eligible First Nations, Métis, and Inuit Bow Valley College students. You'll complete four online, self-paced money management modules, participate in Sharing Circles, and earn 10 hours toward your co-curricular record.
