The Canada-Alberta Job Grant is a partnership between the federal and provincial governments to support workers in gaining the training needed to enhance their skills and competencies.
If you're currently employed, the grant will reimburse your employer for up to two-thirds of your cost of training, up to a maximum of $10,000. For new employees who were previously unemployed, the grant will cover 100% of the cost of training, up to a maximum of $15,000.
Please note that government eligibility requirements are subject to change and are updated frequently. For the most up-to-date information, visit the Alberta Canada website.
The Canada-Alberta Job Grant covers a wide range of training to enhance workforce competencies, including areas such as intercultural competencies, information technology, health care, and business. All delivery methods qualify, whether online, in-class, or blended, as long as the training meets the minimum requirement of 21 hours.
