Bow Valley College offers free wireless internet access (WiFi) to students anywhere on Calgary campuses.
Students connect to the MyBvc wireless network with their student email and password.
The username and password for the wireless network are the same as the username and password used for the MyBVC.ca student account and D2L. Your username is usually: [First Initial].[Last Name + Last 3 Numbers of Student ID] @mybvc.ca
For example: a.student123@mybvc.ca
If you have had your MyBVC.ca student account password reset, you will need to enter your new password on your mobile device to continue using the WiFi services on campus.
Staff and faculty have access to the wireless network BVC and are required to connect to the network to use it. Staff can contact the IT department for assistance.
Staff who need access to the MyBVC.ca network can send a request to the Help Desk.
Select the MyBVC Wifi network.
Type in your Bow Valley College username - for example a.student567@mybvc.ca:
Press Trust on your screen to finish the process:
Select the MyBVC Wifi network
Select the following options:
1- PEAP; 2- MSCHAPV2; 3- Don't validate/(unspecified).
Type your 4- @mybvc.ca username and 5- password.
6- press CONNECT.

Once the password is reset, an email will be sent to the personal email account provided to the College with the username and a link to create a new password.
The new password must comply with the password security rules listed below.
Student account password security rules:
- The password cannot contain your name, student ID number, or birth date.
- The password must be eight characters or more.
- The password must contain three of the four following:
- A lowercase letter
- An uppercase letter
- A number
- A symbol (eg. !@*&)
If you need help connecting a wireless device, you can bring your device to the Peer Technology Assistants on the second floor of the RGO Library and Learning Commons in the North Campus on Monday to Friday from 10:00am-4:00pm. This service begins the first week of classes every semester.
You can also call the Bow Valley College Help Desk at 403 410 1611 or 1 866 615 8923 (toll-free) for assistance. The hours of operation are Monday to Friday 730am-700pm (MST) and Saturday 830am-230pm (MST). The call centre is closed on Sundays and Stat Holidays.
Help is also available at the ITS walk-up service desk on 3rd Floor of BVC North Campus. The hours of operation are Monday to Friday 800am-700pm and Saturday 830am-230pm. The help desk is closed on Sundays and Stat Holidays.
