You are responsible for providing Bow Valley College with accurate and complete transcripts of your previous education. Your application will be delayed if you do not provide the required transcripts or proof of enrolment.

You must provide transcripts from all post-secondary institutions you have attended. If you are currently attending an institution, you must provide a proof of enrolment (more information at the bottom).

My transcripts are from… Here's what do to:
Alberta When applying through ApplyAlberta, you are authorising Bow Valley College to access your official transcripts from most Alberta public high schools, colleges, universities, or polytechnics.

For schools not on the ApplyAlberta system, follow the instructions for Canadian transcripts below.

If you are currently enrolled in courses, you must request a Proof of Enrolment from the school(s) you are attending. See the instructions below. Only final grades are available on ApplyAlberta.
Canada (outside Alberta) Canadian transcripts must come directly to Bow Valley College by mail from the issuing school (i.e. high school, school board, college, or university). You should contact the previous school(s) you have attended in Canada and ask them to mail an official transcript to us at:

Bow Valley College
Office of the Registrar
345 6 Avenue SE
Calgary AB  T2G 4V1

We do not accept emailed transcripts, faxed transcripts, or opened transcripts.

If you are currently enrolled in courses, you must request a Proof of Enrolment from the school(s) you are attending. See the instructions below.

Outside Canada (international) If you attended an institution outside of Canada, you must submit both your official (original) and photocopies of your transcripts (scanned front and back) to the Office of the Registrar. We will verify the photocopies against the official transcripts and keep the photocopies.

For country-specific document requirements, please check the International Academic Documents by Country list.

Applicants with transcripts from India and Pakistan are required to provide attested transcript copies from their issuing college or university.

Transcripts that are not in English must be submitted along with a notarized English translation.

As some international transcripts are irreplaceable, we do not recommend submitting official international transcripts by mail, as they may not be returned to the applicant.

Proof of enrolment
If you are currently enrolled in courses, these courses may not appear on your official transcript. Please request the school you are attending to email admissions@bowvalleycollege.ca or mail a proof of enrolment to Bow Valley College which includes:

  • the name of the school issuing the proof of enrolment;
  • your full name;
  • the courses you are enrolled in (including course names and codes);
  • the start and end dates of the courses, or the date of the test for English proficiency testing; and
  • for applicants to the Pharmacy Technician Diploma, the expected high school graduation date.

Email submission is only accepted for proof of enrolment, not for official transcripts.

Learners with disabilities

Learners requiring academic accommodations must contact the Learner Success Services at least four months prior to the commencement of their scheduled classes at Bow Valley College to establish an academic accommodation plan.

Reasonable effort will be made to provide suitable academic accommodation; however, there is no guarantee that services will be available and it is possible that start dates may have to be deferred in order to provide required accommodation. While the College will attempt to facilitate all learner requests for accommodation, there is a current shortage of sign language interpreters.
