Bow Valley College Career Connection Hosts Career Boost 2018
Bow Valley College Career Connection is hosting a free, day-long event called Career Boost 2018 that will assist Calgarians searching for their next career opportunity and teach attendees skills they needed to land good jobs. The event will be held on Thursday, May 24, on the second floor of Bow Valley College’s north campus.
This interactive and informative event is designed to teach many expected job seekers about business trends, corporate cultures, mental toughness, resilience and workplace communication. Participants will learn how to succeed professionally through the exploration of how their transferable skills can serve them in Calgary’s changing economy.
“Career Boost is an invigorating event, an opportunity to create a positive career outlook and learn about trends in the Calgary labour market. We want to give job seekers a variety of tools to align a career to their personal goals,” says Tamara McCormick, business leader with Career Connection.
Career Boost 2018 provides an opportunity for Calgarians to seek information and ask questions by visiting the exhibitor’ fair and attending panel discussions. The event is made possible through funding from the Government of Alberta and the Government of Canada.
