Bow Valley College Launches New School of Creative Technologies
CALGARY - Bow Valley College is pleased to announce the launch of the School of Creative Technologies. The new School was established by Bow Valley College in response to industry and community needs for new, more flexible technology and design training to equip Albertans with the skills they need to graduate ready to work.
"By creating an interdisciplinary learning environment where technology and design professionals work and learn together, the School of Creative Technologies is poised to equip even more Albertans with the skills they need to build successful careers," said Laura Jo Gunter, President and CEO of Bow Valley College.
The School is designed to develop programming that inspires interest in technology and design careers among non-traditional audiences. The Interior Decorating Diploma is currently offered, and applications are now being accepted for September enrolment in Kitchen and Bath Design, Digital Marketing, and Software Development. More programs will be launching in the near future.
"Our high-quality programming at Bow Valley College takes the whole learner into account, ensuring graduates will be confident, resilient, and collaborative team players who can easily perform in diverse work environments," said Dr. Cherylyn Cameron, Dean, School of Creative Technologies. The first students from the School of Creative Technologies are set to graduate in June 2017.
