Bow Valley College Presents Careers in Our Community Expo
STRATHMORE - Bow Valley College is leading a collaboration of several partners presenting the "Careers in Our Community" Business and Career Expo at the Strathmore Civic Centre on Tuesday, June 9, 2015 from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m.
This event has been developed to create a forum where some of the outstanding career and employment opportunities in the community can be shared. The event is aimed at High School grads, adult learners and people in Strathmore who are seeking new employment opportunities.
Between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. experts in career development and employment will be on hand to advise the local community on all the exciting opportunities that exist in the Strathmore area. Advice on financial aid for career programs and upgrading will also be available.
At 5 p.m. our keynote speaker, Corinne Finnie, Director of Regional Stewardship at Bow Valley College will share some unique insights about the pathways to an exciting career in the Strathmore area.
Visitors will have the opportunity to network and connect with local employers, Town of Strathmore and local service providers, McBride Group, Community Futures, the Strathmore Chamber of Commerce and Strathmore Immigrant Services.
"This is a great opportunity for people living in Strathmore and area to benefit from experts willing to help them explore their education and career options, right outside their front door," said Corinne Finnie, Director of Regional Stewardship at Bow Valley College.
Admission is free, and door prizes will be available for some lucky winners on the day.
