23rd Annual Premier's Scholarship Luncheon - Presenting Sponsor
We thank Trico Homes for their generous commitment to supporting the 2018 Premier’s Scholarship Luncheon as the Presenting Sponsor. This continues their long tradition of supporting Bow Valley College learners. Trico Homes is well-known for their community investments, which focus on education, health and wellness, community development, and multiculturalism.
“It is our privilege to be part of this event as Presenting Sponsor because supporting and investing in our community is a core value at Trico Homes,” says Eleanor Chiu, Chief Financial Officer. “We thank and congratulate everyone as you join us in contributing to our community, and building stronger lives and families through the power of education.”
With his wife, Eleanor, Wayne Chiu, Chief Executive Officer, founded Trico Homes and built a strong reputation for community support. In 2014, Bow Valley College announced the naming of the Chiu School of Business, in honour of their long support and community leadership.
In 2016, the Chius were honoured by the Council for Advancement and Support of Education with the CASE Benefactor Award, becoming the first Canadians in 13 years to receive the international award recognizing outstanding contributions to community colleges.
Elena Fuertes Vegas, a learner in the Chiu School of Business, received her award at the Premier’s Scholarship Luncheon.
“This scholarship lets me know that I must be doing something right,” she says, “and that there are people who are part of my support network who can see it, and want to give me the chance to keep growing.”
