This video was created in collaboration with the Bow Valley College Harm Reduction & Opioid Prevention Education (H.O.P.E.) Campaign Advisory Committee. The H.O.P.E. campaign aims to create awareness and education about the opioid crisis in an effort to decrease stigma, and reduce opioid overdoses and related deaths. The H.O.P.E. campaign also aspires to increase access to supports and services, and to provide education and training opportunities for the Bow Valley College community.

Naloxone is a drug that can temporarily reverse an opioid (such as fentanyl) overdose, as long as it is given right away, and also followed up by emergency medical care. On the Bow Valley College campus, Naloxone kits are available at both the Imagine Health Pharmacy and through Security.
Naloxone kits are also available at walk-in clinics and pharmacies throughout the province, and you do not need ID or a prescription to get a kit. Visit this Alberta Health Services website to find out where you can get your Naloxone kit.
