Nothing should get in the way of a great result.  We do our best to provide you with optimal testing conditions so you can achieve your goals.  Our Centre provides a fair and equitable conditions for all clients.

We follow all exam provider policies and procedures.   We also maintain the security, confidentiality and integrity of all assessment and client data.  Take a few minutes to review our policies.  This will help you avoid surprises on test day.

Client Expectations

Our team is here to support you.  Please be respectful of our staff so they can best assist you. We have a zero tolerance policy for the use of profanity, verbal threats or any acts of violence. Clients that engage in bullying, harassment, discrimination or unprofessional behavior of any kind will be asked to leave. All incidents at our Centre are reported to exam providers.

Professional code of conduct is expected of all clients. Behaviour which is considered disrespectful, intimidating, disruptive, or offensive to staff and/or clients will not be tolerated. We reserve the right to refuse services.

Exam Materials

In most cases, we have what you need for your exam.  Pens, pencils, erasers, scrap paper and ear plugs are available at no cost. We suggest you leave your personal belongings at home and bring only the essentials. 

Here’s what you’ll need to bring:

  • Valid, government issued, photo identification (minimum requirement).  We are sometimes required to verify additional exam documentation, such as a passport.  Check with your exam provider on necessary check-in documentation
  • Water in a clear non-labeled plastic bottle

For some exams, you may be permitted to bring additional items.  These items must be approved by your exam provider.  Not sure what you can bring?  Check with us first.  We’ll be happy to find out more. Permissible items may include exam materials or calculators that are pre-authorized by your exam provider.  These will be examined by us when you check-in.

Personal Items and Storage

Personal items are not permitted in your testing session.  No exceptions.  We’ll ask you to place items in a secure locker during your exam.  These items are not permitted:

  • Food or beverages of any kind 
  • Cellphones or any electronic device
  • Wallets or purses
  • Keys
  • Hats
  • Jackets, coats or heavy sweaters
  • Unauthorized materials

Security Checks

Don’t be surprised if we ask you to empty your pockets or show us your glasses.  We frequently examine items you will use in the test room to protect you and maintain security.   

Fair and Equitable Testing

We know a fair and equitable testing environment will help you do your best.  Our Centre follows accepted standards.  Here are a few things you can expect on test day:

  • We'll ask to see your identification before starting the test.
  • We'll provide you with a quiet, comfortable space to write your exam.
  • We'll make sure you have relevant exam materials.
  • We'll review your exam instructions.
  • We'll follow the testing rules of the exam provider.
  • We'll assist you as much as we can, but will not be able to help you answer the questions.

Washroom Breaks

Make sure you visit the washroom before you get started.  Most exams do not permit you to leave the test room during your exam. In case of emergency, your administrator may authorize an escorted washroom break.

Exam Dishonesty

Our job is to help you do your best.  Exam dishonesty involves actual, intended, or attempted deception and/or dishonest action in relation to the completion of an exam. This includes but is not limited to: copying, falsifying information, stealing materials, aiding others, communicating with other clients during the exam, using any aid and/or non-permitted items during a testing session.

To prevent dishonesty, we may request that you turnout clothing pockets, roll up shirt sleeves or pant legs. Examinations of personal property is commonly conducted, even when dishonesty is not suspected.

In cases where dishonesty is suspected, we may end the examination session.  An incident report will be given to the exam provider if suspicious behavior is observed before, during and after a test session.  


We understand that life happens.  Feel free to cancel or reschedule up to 48 hours before your appointment.  Fees may apply to appointments cancelled less than 48 hours in advance.  Keep in mind that some exams must be written on a specified date or time.  Make sure you check with your exam provider before cancelling or rescheduling.  

Late Arrival

Make sure you arrive a bit early.  This will give you some time to check-in and relax before your exam.  We suggest that you arrive at least 15 minutes before the scheduled exam.  We are unable to accommodate late arrivals.

It is also important to book enough time.  Your exam provider will specify the permitted length of time for your exam.  You might not think you need the entire time to complete your test.  But, we cannot let you write unless you've scheduled the correct exam duration. 

Private Test Room

Do you need a private test room?  We offer private exam rooms for eligible clients.  Private test rooms must be booked at least 2 weeks in advance.  To book, contact our office for fees and further information.  Private test rooms must be cancelled or rescheduled at least 7 days before in advance. A $75 fee will apply.

Quite Zone

We have a quite waiting area where you can relax and prepare for your exam.  This space is set aside for our clients.  Please ask your friends and family to wait for you outside of our Centre. A coffee shop with seating is located in our adjacent North Campus on the main floor.
