International Education Week (IEW) has been celebrated since 2000, showcasing the impact that international education has in preparing students for the world and supports international engagement efforts.
Bow Valley College is proud to engage learners, employees and our broader community in international and intercultural experiences. Our International Team works hard to foster inclusion and meaningful connections on campus, serving over 17,000 learners and employees annually. The International department offers opportunities to support the development of intercultural competence, engaged citizenship, and a global mindset. This includes offering mobility and study abroad, hosting events, and providing student leadership and volunteer opportunities within Bow Valley College and the Calgary community.
In recognition of our dedication to internationalization and to help promote diversity and inclusivity across Bow Valley College, we join many countries to celebrate International Education Week (IEW) annually. IEW showcases the significant contribution that international education makes to our social, economic, and cultural well-being and supports Canada’s ongoing efforts to engage on the international stage. During the week, students and staff are invited to participate in the different activities we organize for the College community.
This year, IEW will be celebrated from November 15th to 19th. Please join us in the multiple activities we organized featuring multiple cultural events from across the world. Check all events here.
