Regardless of your program of study or delivery method, during the COVID-19 public health crisis access to campus is limited to scheduled courses and approved appointments with College faculty or staff. If you do not have a scheduled and approved reason to visit campus, you should not visit campus. All learner services including advising, registration, academic support, library services, counselling, accessibility, and career services are available online and/or by phone.

 

This information is intended for students in Literacy and Essential Skills Academic Upgrading and Indigenous Upgrading programs for Spring/Summer 2021. If you are in a different program, please select your program from the Spring/Summer 2021 Delivery Methods page.

🚥 Your program does not have in-person teaching for Spring/Summer 2021. All components of your Spring/Summer 2021 teaching will be on-line.

All Literacy and Essential Skills courses will be taught fully online with no in-person components. 

Each course has a dedicated instructor available to you, plus you have access to academic support staff, learning support staff, and academic advisors to help you with your studies. Your courses may have scheduled lectures, assignments, or test dates. Review your course syllabus carefully for assigned dates.

Students with no in-person courses may not enter Bow Valley College campuses. In order to limit the spread and possible exposure to COVID-19 (coronavirus), the campus is closed to students, staff, and faculty without valid in-person business.

If a staff or faculty member needs you to attend campus for a specific reason, they will set-up an appointment with you and send you safety protocols for attendance.

Your program does not have any in-person courses for May 2021.

The College is following all Alberta Health Services guidelines for in-person courses. Face coverings, self-screening, attendance tracking for contact tracing, and other safety measures will be required for students, staff, and faculty on-campus. Two metre physical distancing may not be possible at all times while students are on-campus. Cleaning and sanitation has been increased across campus, and signage for physical distancing and traffic flow has been installed to reduce physical contact points.
