This information is intended for students in Continuing Learning courses for Fall 2021. If you are in a different program, please select your program from the Fall 2021 Delivery Methods page.

Mask Fitting and CPR courses in Continuing Education will have in-person teaching options. This means these courses will have one or more sections of courses taught in-person or through a hybrid/blended delivery.

All other Continuing Education courses will continue to be taught fully online with no in-person components. Each course has a dedicated instructor available to you, plus you have access to academic support staff, learning support staff, and academic advisors to help you with your studies. Your courses may have scheduled lectures, assignments, or test dates. Review your course syllabus carefully for assigned dates.

Students with no in-person courses should not enter Bow Valley College campuses. In order to limit the spread and possible exposure to COVID-19 (coronavirus), the campus is closed to students, staff, and faculty without valid in-person business.

Only students with approved on-campus business such as scheduled courses or a scheduled meeting with College faculty or staff will be permitted on-campus. It is important you have an active student ID card with your photo before September 2021. You can request a photo ID card from Registrar Services by uploading a photo of yourself and a piece of government-issued photo ID through this secure online form (MyBVC log-in required).

If a staff or faculty member needs you to attend campus for a specific reason, they will set-up an appointment with you and send you safety protocols for attendance.

All learner services including advisingregistrationacademic supportlibrary servicescounsellingaccessibility, and career services are available online and/or by phone.

The College is following all Alberta Health Services guidelines for in-person courses. Face coverings, self-screening, attendance tracking for contact tracing, and other safety measures will be required for students, staff, and faculty on-campus. Two metre physical distancing may not be possible at all times while students are on-campus. Cleaning and sanitation has been increased across campus, and signage for physical distancing and traffic flow has been installed to reduce physical contact points.

Access to Desire2Learn (D2L) and Microsoft Teams is required for all courses. Information on how to access D2L and Microsoft Teams will be provided by the Academic Success Centre and your school. In many cases you may not get access to your course in D2L or Microsoft Teams until the day the course begins.
