Career Connection Reopens at Bow Valley College

Bow Valley College is celebrating the reopening of Career Connection with an open house on Tuesday, June 28, 2016.

CALGARY - Bow Valley College is celebrating the reopening of Career Connection with an open house on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at the College's West Campus. The public and media are invited to come and visit the new office space, meet the Career Connection team, and learn about the services that are provided.

"We're pleased to be offering the services of the Career Connection centre once again to Calgarians. It has been a tough year for many due to the economic downturn, but we are here to provide advice and skills to help our clients get back into the labour market. I encourage those who are unemployed or underemployed to visit our centre and see how we can help them achieve their employment goals," said Tamara McCormick, Business Lead, Career Connection.

Career Connection is a no-charge career and employment information services centre that helps participants get the job they want. The centre offers resources for career planning, job search, and career management resources. They also offer short-term and in-depth career coaching to help clients with resume and cover letter revision, research the labour market, interview practice, build their network, and provide referrals to other community services and resources.
