Mount Royal University to offer business degrees to Bow Valley College students
(CALGARY) Building on an existing partnership, Mount Royal University (MRU) and Bow Valley College (BVC) signed an agreement today that will enable business administration students from Bow Valley College to transfer to Mount Royal's Bachelor of Business Administration degree program.
The agreement, which was signed by Mount Royal Provost and Vice-President, Academic, Robin Fisher and Bow Valley College President, Sharon Carry at a brief ceremony at Mount Royal's Bissett School of Business this morning, will also explore future possibilities of increasing access to education for learners.
"As a new University in the Campus Alberta system, Mount Royal will play a pivotal role by developing partnerships to offer our new degree programs to students at other institutions," says Mount Royal's Provost and Vice-President, Academic, Robin Fisher. "Bow Valley College is already one of our primary partners and it is great to have that relationship confirmed by this MOU under which we agree to work together to increase opportunities for Calgary Students."
"Bow Valley College graduates work-ready business diploma students who, at some point in their career, may want additional education," says Sharon Carry, president and CEO, Bow Valley College. "This agreement, the first to be penned in our partnership with Mount Royal University, gives them a seamless pathway towards a Bachelor of Business Administration at MRU with full recognition for their BVC diploma program."
