Tech Resources at BVC
Need to borrow a laptop? Have questions about Microsoft Office? This workshop will outline the tech resources available to students, tell you how to access them, and where to go if you need additional support.
Rachel, Ross, or Reboot?
There are a lot of free services available in the Academic Success Centre...but do you know who to book with? This fun, interactive game will test your knowledge of whether you should book with a Learning Coach, the Learning Technology Advisor, or a Reboot Drop-in Writing Specialist.
D2L Brightspace Walkthrough
New to D2L and online learning? You're not alone - most new students say they're worried about D2L. This hands-on workshop with our Learning Technology Advisor will help show you how it works and get you comfortable using the most common features before you even start class!
Still feeling a bit nervous about using D2L? LSS101 is Learner Success Services’ course that's available to all BVC students. In this hands-on workshop, you can practice the skills you've learned, while discovering more about the resources and services available through Learner Success Services.
Online Learning Strategies
Almost every student at BVC will take at least one online course in your program. Are you ready for an online class? This interactive workshop will discuss the pros and cons of online learning, and provide some myths, facts, and strategies on how you can succeed at learning in an online course.
