Centre for Excellence in Immigrant & Intercultural Advancement

As Calgary's largest English Language Learning (ELL) provider, Bow Valley College has developed ELL programs that provide you with the skills you need to live, study, and work in Canada. We work with newcomers to Canada, Canadian citizens, international learners, and corporate clients.

Through the creation of the Centre for Excellence in Immigrant and Intercultural Advancement, the College is dedicated to making significant contributions to:

English Language Learning
Through innovation in curriculum design and delivery, the Centre provides access to quality English language training. As the largest English language training provider in Alberta, we provide learners with the skills they need to live, study and work in Canada. Career Advancement
Through the delivery of leading-edge programs and services to immigrants and employers, the Centre contributes to the reduction of barriers to appropriate employment and career advancement. We collaborate with workplace and educational partners to support immigrants' integration into further learning and the workforce.

Intercultural Awareness
Through an inclusive teaching and learning approach, the Centre contributes to the intercultural understanding and positive relationships between learners, College faculty and staff, and community members. We embed intercultural competency skills in the programs and training that we offer.

Global Citizenship
Through the work we do, we strive to foster global learning and leverage our expertise to offer lasting contributions within the local and global communities in which we operate. This is accomplished through mentorship, leadership and study abroad opportunities.
