Course Description
This course will introduce you to strategies for effectively meeting the needs of refugee learners.
In this course you will:
- Identify learning needs of refugees.
- Examine strategies for effectively supporting refugee learners
- Recognize the signs of compassion fatigue and strategies to prevent it
- Describe strategies for creating an effective and supportive learning environment.
This course is 100% online and has a peer-learning focus. Successful course completion will be based on active participation in discussion board forums, completion of activities and the submission of a final assignment. The time commitment is typically 12 hours.
