This course is designed to give an overview of the private investigation industry. You will come away with a solid, basic understanding of career and business opportunities in this growing field, as well as the various skills required of a private investigator.
Learn the tricks of the experts! Interview employees, suspects, victims, and witnesses with confidence. The skills learned are used by the most experienced and successful fraud investigators, police detectives, and federal agents. Used in conjunction with statement analysis, this is an extremely powerful tool.
An undercover operator is a key component of many types of cases – internal investigations, workplace conflicts, insurance investigations and, occasionally, domestic cases. He or she interacts professionally or socially with the subject(s) of the investigation, allowing a particularly advantageous type of surveillance. The undercover operator also observes the subject’s activities with others. Find the truth by having the subjects themselves tell you what’s really happening!
The art of surveillance is a very technical and precise method of watching the activities of a subject. Learn the best-of-the-best methods used by law enforcement experts: foot surveillance, driving surveillance, stakeouts, and state-of-the-art electronic-surveillance methods. This course is extremely valuable to both experienced and novice investigators.
Investigators must be skilled report writers in order to be successful. Clients require specialized reports: background, surveillance, insurance fraud, locates/skip tracing, etc. Often these reports end up in legal proceedings. Learn from successful investigators how to produce professional documents.
Learn from those who are doing it! Successful private investigators teach their secrets of success. This course covers laws, regulations, and government agencies that control the industry. From start-up costs, registering a name, incorporation, legal contracts and marketing, this course provides you with what you need to be successful in this highly specialized industry.
