Application Steps

Step 1: Choose your program of study
Visit our Programs and Courses page to find out more about the program you are interested in. Each program page contains important admissions information, such as:
- General program information
- Admission requirements
- English Language Proficiency requirements
- Start date(s) and program length
- Approximate costs
If you need help choosing the right program, or want to take a campus tour or take part in our Student-for-a-Day experience, please contact the Prospective Student Centre.
Step 2: Submit your application
Select the type of program you wish to take in order to be directed to the appropriate application:
- Career Programs (or download our paper application)*
- Academic Upgrading programs
- Continuing Education
- Corporate Readiness Training Program
- eCampus Alberta online courses
- English as a Second Language (ESL) Program
* International applicants are encouraged to visit the International Students page for more information.
- When applying to Bow Valley College programs through Apply Alberta, applicants authorize Bow Valley College to obtain Alberta high school and post-secondary transcripts from any participating Alberta institution which the applicant has previously attended. There is no charge for transcripts obtained through Apply Alberta.
- All other applicants must arrange for their transcripts to be sent to Bow Valley College - either through the provincial education department or the institution that issued the transcript(s).
- If you were educated outside of Canada, you must provide original academic documents as well as a notarized English translation if the original is not written in English. Some programs at Bow Valley College may require an official assessment provided by the International Qualification Assessment Service (IQAS).
Step 4: Pay the non-refundable application fee
In order for us to process your application, you must pay the non-refundable application fee of $60 CAD (International applications: $100 CAD).
- If you apply online through Apply Alberta, you can pay online using Visa or MasterCard. If you do not wish to pay online, you can choose the 'Pay Later' option. By choosing this option, your application information will be held until payment is made using one of the options listed below.
- Applicants can pay over the phone using Visa or MasterCard
- Applicants can pay in person, at the Registrar's Office, using Visa, MasterCard, cash, debit, personal cheque, certified cheque, money order.
- Applicants can mail in a personal cheque, certified cheque, or money order (do not send cash through mail):

Step 5: Receive confirmation of receipt of application
Once you submit your application and pay the required application fee, you will receive further information from the Admissions Office about the next steps required.
