The College community said farewell to a longstanding member of its leadership team on Nov. 21. Bernie Sheehan, BVC's former director of Human Resources, his wife, and two young boys are making the move to Geneva, Switzerland, to embark on a new adventure.
After a three-month process, Bernie accepted a job offer with the World Trade Organization as its head of administration. He will now oversee the budget for the department and attempt to gain support for the budget from some of the European member nations.
"Bernie has made a wonderful contribution to the College in the last four-plus years - not the least of which is building an extraordinary team in human resources that is giving us all such great service," says Sharon Carry, BVC's President and CEO.

Upon arrival in Switzerland, the Sheehan family will be filming with Home and Garden Television's House Hunters International as they find their new home in Geneva. They have already done a taping for the show at the Calgary Zoo.
